Privacy Policy

    Last updated: October 10, 2026

At DLWAY, we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our browser-based AI development environment.

    01

    Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password.
Usage Data: To find out where people get stuck, DLWAY records a short list of usage events: which page or Studio module you opened and how long you actively used it, which buttons and links you click (their type and short label, never the contents of your data), errors you run into, and when you send us a bug report or suggestion. We never record your files, datasets, code, prompts, API keys or anything you type into a field. File names, web addresses, email addresses and text in quotation marks are removed from error messages before they leave your browser.
Device Information: We collect information about the device you use to access DLWAY, including the hardware model, operating system and version, and browser type.
Code and Project Data: Files, code, and project data you create or upload in DLWAY are processed locally in your browser. We do not store your code on our servers unless you explicitly use our cloud save feature.
Communications: If you contact us for support or other inquiries, we collect the content of those communications.
    02

    How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve DLWAY, as well as to communicate with you.

Service Delivery: To operate, maintain, and provide the features and functionality of DLWAY.
Product Improvement: To understand how users interact with DLWAY, identify bugs, and improve performance and usability.
Communications: To send you technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages. With your consent, we may also send promotional communications.
Analytics: To see which parts of DLWAY are used, where errors happen and which steps trip people up, so we know what to fix first. Usage events are tied to a random identifier kept in your browser, not to your name or email address, and we do not build profiles of individual people.
Security: To detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities and protect the rights and property of DLWAY and others.
Legal Compliance: To comply with applicable laws and regulations.
    03

    Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their marketing purposes.

Service Providers: We may share your information with third-party vendors and service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, customer support and analytics. Usage events pass through our own server to PostHog, our analytics provider, without your IP address or any account details. These providers are authorized to use your personal information only as necessary to provide these services.
Business Transfers: If DLWAY is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or government agency).
Protection of Rights: We may disclose information where we believe it's necessary to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, fraud, or threats to the safety of any person.
Aggregated Data: We may share aggregated, non-personally identifiable information publicly and with our partners. For example, we may share information publicly to show trends about the general use of DLWAY.
    04

    Security

We take reasonable measures to help protect information about you from loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Encryption: All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
Access Controls: We restrict access to personal information to employees, contractors, and agents who need that information in order to process it on our behalf.
Execution choices: DLWAY runs Python locally in your browser via Pyodide (WebAssembly) by default. If you explicitly attach remote Jupyter compute, the code you run and any project files you choose to sync are transmitted to that Jupyter provider. Public-server relay mode also transmits the connection credential and execution data through DLWAY's backend while the request is processed. JavaScript and TensorFlow.js execution remain local unless a feature clearly says otherwise.
Incident Response: We have procedures in place to respond to security incidents, including notifying affected users when required by applicable law.

Despite our safeguards, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

    05

    Cookies

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on DLWAY and hold certain information.

Essential Cookies: These cookies are necessary for DLWAY to function and cannot be switched off. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you such as logging in or setting your preferences.
Analytics: We do not use analytics cookies. Usage analytics keeps a random identifier in your browser's local storage, and nothing is sent when you turn analytics off. You can turn it off at any time in Settings, under Privacy. We also treat the Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals from your browser as a request to turn it off, and we do not collect usage events from the accounts our own team uses for testing.
Preference Cookies: These cookies allow DLWAY to remember choices you make (such as your preferred theme, light or dark mode) and provide enhanced, personalized features.
How to Control Cookies: Most web browsers allow some control of most cookies through the browser settings. To find out more about cookies and how to manage them, visit www.aboutcookies.org.
    06

    Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information.

Access: You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you.
Correction: You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information about you.
Deletion: You have the right to request that we delete your personal information in certain circumstances.
Data Portability: You have the right to receive a copy of your personal information in a structured, machine-readable format.
Objection: You have the right to object to our processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
Withdrawal of Consent: Where we process your personal information based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time.
